What is a UV exposure unit and how does it work?

Now you might be wondering... what exactly does an Exposure Unit do? Well, let us explain!

A UV exposure unit is a piece of equipment used in many industries. It emits ultraviolet (UV) light to transfer a pattern onto a light-sensitive material. The UV light initiates a chemical reaction in the light-sensitive material, creating a stencil or pattern that can be developed or processed further. You can create images, text, and more with this process! For example, our customer Paul Maven created this stunning Cyanotype print using our UV Ultra Mk4 Exposure Unit:

You can find his full video tutorial here, through YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nK8YaFdKdpk&t=680s

We do also have a couple of review videos made by Dundee Art College and they use the UV Mk4 Exposure Unit and larger UV Vacuum machine for a number of different processes.

Below are the links to each video, so that you can view some of the various processes that you can achieve with an Exposure Unit.
